What can I say? I'm THRILLED.

Sometimes I just like to dance in a random hotel room (this one being a Holiday Inn Express somewhere near the Arizona/New Mexico border). Especially when The Breakfast Club is on the TV. Brian: Chicks cannot hold their smoke, thats what it is...

Amy, Wendy and Una

This photo makes me happy. That Karp tee on Wendy makes me happy. The Yaos make me happy. Una Kim makes me happy. I love her shoes. They are dancing to Britney's Toxic. How awesome is that song?

May Beauty Salon

That's my hair on the floor.

I decided I had to get my haircut today. I'm not particular at all with who cuts my hair, it's so facile, it's just a straight cut, a trim. I thought six inches should be enough. All the sun, sea and sand these last couple of months, it was time to freshen up. I wanted someplace new, so I drove to Chinatown and stopped at the first place I saw, May Beauty Salon, off of Broadway. It did look scary but I'm always down for scary, as long as it's Asian. Of course, I was the only customer. There was a lady in the back corner burning paper, similar to spirit money one burns for the dead/ancestors. Smokey the bear.

Anthony Bourdain

My culinary hero, Anthony Bourdain, was appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel Show to promote his new masterpiece, The Nasty Bits. I managed to get into the Green Room and stalked him for a little while before I got enough courage to go up and talk to him. He's pretty tall (I would say 6'4") and suggested we sit down for the photo. Smart. You can kinda see his thumb ring on the left. He's pretty awesome.
